We Collect Nothing.
We collect zero personal information. No names, no emails, no device IDs.
Our apps intentionally exclude the INTERNET permission. Data physically cannot leave your device.
No sign-up, no login, no cloud sync. Your data is yours and lives only on your device.
No crash reporters, no usage tracking, no third-party SDKs phoning home.
Who We Are
SpicyMaggot is an independent, one-person Android app studio. We design, build, and publish mobile applications for Android devices. Our apps are available on the Google Play Store.
This Privacy Policy applies to all SpicyMaggot applications and to this website (spicymaggot.com). When we say "we", "us", or "our", we mean SpicyMaggot.

Data We Collect
Every SpicyMaggot application is designed to be 100% offline-first. Any data you enter into our apps — battery names, session logs, preferences, notes — is stored exclusively in local device storage. This data:
— Never leaves your device
— Is never transmitted to SpicyMaggot servers (we have none)
— Is never shared with third parties
— Is never sold, licensed, or monetised in any way
We do not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, A/B testing frameworks, or any other third-party library that would transmit data off your device.
Per-App Details
Below is a breakdown of data handling for each SpicyMaggot application.
Stores battery pack records, charge cycle counts, session logs, and user-created drone profiles locally on your device using Android's local database (Room/SQLite). The app intentionally does not declare the INTERNET permission in its manifest — it is architecturally impossible for this app to send data over a network.
Notifications (LiPo Finder alerts) are generated and processed entirely on-device using Android's local notification system. No network request is made.
Stores moon phase preferences, personal energy logs, and reflection entries locally on your device. No network access is requested or used. Cycle calculations are performed on-device using astronomical algorithms requiring no external data.
Stores only minimal session preferences (countdown duration, theme) in Android SharedPreferences — local device storage. The app has no database, no session logging, and no network access. By design, it stores as little as possible.
This Website
The SpicyMaggot website (spicymaggot.com) is a static HTML site hosted via Cloudflare. We do not run analytics software (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no pixel tracking of any kind) on this website.
Cloudflare acts as our DNS provider and CDN. As part of normal web infrastructure operation, Cloudflare may process your IP address and basic HTTP request metadata (browser type, page requested, timestamp) to serve pages and protect against abuse. This processing is governed by Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to this data in identifiable form.
Google Fonts are loaded on this website. When your browser requests a font file, your IP address is sent to Google's servers. If you prefer to avoid this, you can use a browser extension that blocks third-party font requests. Fonts are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com.
If you contact us by email, we receive and store your email address and message content solely for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list or share your details with any third party.
Third Parties
SpicyMaggot apps contain no third-party SDKs, libraries, or services that collect or transmit personal data. Specifically, we do not use:
— Advertising networks (AdMob, Meta Audience Network, etc.)
— Analytics platforms (Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, etc.)
— Crash reporters (Firebase Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
— Social login SDKs (Google Sign-In, Facebook Login, etc.)
— Cloud storage services (Firebase Firestore, AWS, etc.)
— A/B testing or feature flag services
Our apps are distributed through the Google Play Store. Google may collect device and usage information as part of the Play Store platform, governed by Google's Privacy Policy. This is outside our control.
Children's Privacy
Our apps are general-purpose tools not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). Because we collect no personal data from anyone, we also collect none from children.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information to us (for example via email), please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Because we collect no personal data, most data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure, portability) apply to data stored entirely on your own device — which you control completely.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA respectively. As we process no personal data, there is no data about you held by SpicyMaggot to access, correct, or delete. If you have contacted us by email, you may request deletion of that correspondence at any time.
To exercise any rights or raise a concern, contact us at the address in Section 11.
Data Retention
In-app data is retained on your device until you clear it (Settings → Apps → Clear Data) or uninstall the application. SpicyMaggot retains no copy of this data.
Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry, and typically no longer than 24 months. You may request deletion at any time.
Security
Because all app data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's security — screen lock, encryption, and OS-level app sandboxing provided by Android. SpicyMaggot operates within Android's standard app sandbox and does not request any permissions beyond what each app requires to function.
Email correspondence is handled through standard email infrastructure. While we take reasonable care, no email system can be guaranteed fully secure.
Policy Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes that affect data processing, we will post a notice on the website homepage.
Continued use of our apps or website after a policy update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
Previous versions of this policy are available on request.
